In this article, a quick intro to the Ninja Shop plugin, which you can read more about on my personal blog here, you’ll here why I’m so excited about this plugin, and I’ll also be revealing the plans for this blog and how I intend to teach you everything you need to know to succeed with Ninja Shop.
Incase you didn’t just read the first paragraph, here are a couple links to the history of Ninja Shop and why this “new” plugin isn’t really “new”.
A quick intro to Ninja Shop WordPress eCommerce plugin
Read the two articles I listed above for the full history, but quickly I will say, Ninja Shop is the quickest and simplest way to build a WordPress ecommerce website.
Keep in mind, this initial release just posted, like 16 hours ago, from the time I am writing this. It is technically in “Beta”.
Ninja Shop is currently in beta as we bring all of the add-ons up to speed for our premium offerings. Below you’ll find our current goals; we’d love for you to try this beta out to see if we are on the right track.
There will always be a free version of this plugin, however, many of the best features will be rolled out in “addons’ and or an upgraded paid plugin.
If you’ve ever used WooCommerce, be prepared to be blown away by the how easy Ninja Shop is.
You can download Ninja Shop from WordPress.org here.
Here is a quick tutorial that shows how to install from the WordPress admin.
Why I’m so excited about Ninja Shop and betting big on them!
I am not a fan of WooCommerce, but we really don’t have any other options in the WordPress world for building an online store.
If you read the history I linked to above, this might make more since.
But with that said, I’ve been hoping for another WordPress ecommerce plugin to hit the market that would give WooCommerce a run for it’s money.
This won’t be an easy road for Ninja Shop, but the Ninjas behind the plugin have done this before! They disrupted a crowded space in the WordPress plugin market and came out on top!
Let me be clear, I’m not saying, nor am I convinced that Ninja Shop will be a better overall solution to WooCommerce, I am convinced that for someone who needs a simple commerce solution for their WordPress shop, Ninja Shop will be the best in the market.
To be honest, WooCommerce is bloated and overkill for a lot of people.
The purpose of this blog/site
Just to be clear, I am not, at the time of this writing, affiliated with Ninja Shop, or the company behind the plugin.
This blog and my efforts are an attempt to help build awareness and adoption of the plugin because I believe it’s a great solution that tens of thousands of WordPress users will love!
Initially I will focus most of my efforts on how-to articles both written and video. The idea is to help you get started even quicker. But also to show you the tricks to effectively using this plugin.
I will soon add a survey that will help you determine if Ninja Shop is ideal for your specific needs or if you should stick with one of the other solutions.
Ultimately, I want to help the growth and adoption of the plugin, but more importantly I want to help you and the community reduce the learning curve and be able to start taking advantage of the plugin.
The Wrap Up
The first tutorials are already in the works and will be rolling out soon!
